Because a lot of my friends are terrible people, I knew that there were ways around Windows passwords that required little more than a thumb-drive and several dubious keyword searches. And of course it worked. The computer unlocked to reveal a desktop with a painting of the DC villain Harley Quinn as its background. I was simply curious. There were seven folders on the desktop along with a small assortment of program icons: Microsoft Word, Photoshop, a program for live-streaming video that I had never heard of, etc. The computer itself was from the mids at the latest. I started skimming through the earliest log and it quickly became obvious that Enid was no air-traffic controller. Client requests that I urinate into a bucket. Photos of the crime and naked pictures of the incapacitated girl were posted on the popular social media site Snapchat , Clyde Hill police detectives say. Police were called to the home of a year-old girl on April 3. The girl's father told police his daughter had been raped at an April 1 house party on Yarrow Point. Police reported breaking up a house party of "approximately to " juveniles that night, with a "majority" of the crowd being intoxicated. She told police she drank whiskey and vodka heavily. She also told investigators she learned she was the only 8th grader at the party, and that others called her "the Legend" because she was the youngest person at a high school party. The victim told investigators she became heavily intoxicated and remembered dancing and falling asleep in a bedroom. An acquaintance she was with at the party also informed her she was found passed out in the garage. A day later, the teen who threw the house party contacted the victim and informed her she had been raped by two year-old boys at the party.

I remember thinking: Wait. Have things really not gotten better for girls?
