A truly impressive debut from the Manchester trio. Stop-Start was recorded at Unit 13 Studios , London. Produced, mixed and mastered by Paul Tipler. The artwork was produced by Lisa Mattocks based on an image taken by Louise Woodcock. The most invigorating aspect of being in a band is the experience of playing live together on stage. Our intention, when we set out to record the album, was to attempt to capture this fairly indescribable experience. We strived to create a record that would connect with our audience in a real, raw and relentless way. Having the opportunity to turn that into something tangible that we can share with our friends, families, fans, audiences and strangers is a unique gift. My greatest hope is that in STOP-START people find something they can relate to and resonate with — something that means something to them — that might help them to get through something, however big or small; or that might inspire another generation of musicians to pick up guitars and take to the stage.

Refusing to compromise their principles, their style and their integrity to fit into some sort of scene, they tick few of the boxes that the industry would have you do to succeed. But succeed they have, and one listen to Stop - Start tells you why. With a sizeable following outside the UK, the patronage of the likes of John Kennedy, who read a review we wrote for Louder Than War in a drunken effusive haze and played Never There every night for two weeks after sourcing it from his flu bed, the Unsigned Guide, Get In Her Ears and an ever increasing band of influential behind-the-scenes people, they one by one knocked over the barriers in their way, selling out shows in Manchester and further afield. Disappear starts with a drumbeat that sounds military in its precision, like a first punch, followed up by two knockout ones that finish you off and leave you submitting to them.
Manchester trio LIINES have gradually built momentum releasing several tracks since their debut single two years ago making the release of their debut album Stop-Start a long time coming. The wait was worth it. At all. The thing I love most about this album is how raw and abrasive it sounds. Highlights from the album include, well, every track really, though Find Something will be stuck in your head for days. You can follow them on Twitter as werareliines and Like on Facebook. I simply do NOT believe he and I will not be together after we die. This girl is also a real person, not a caricature of a cult member, and even if the ultimate result is a breakup, she deserves to be treated with compassion and respect. Never seen it happen. She honestly believes that she has the truth, and that if you are exposed to it enough you will recognize that.
